Questions, bugs, or ideas: secondnaturemusic.app@gmail.com. It's a one-person app, so you'll get a reply from an actual human — usually within two or three days.
If you're reporting a bug, it helps enormously to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, the song's length, and what you were doing when it happened. Mneme has no analytics, so your description is genuinely the only information I get.
Add it — paste it, use Find online, share it from Safari, or pick screenshots or scan a printed sheet — and check the section cards Mneme shows before you save. Then open the song and tap the mode marked Up next. For a new song that's Learn: one section at a time, sung out loud, with the words fading as each one holds.
Speech recognition can mishear, and singing is harder for it than speech. Mneme is built to say "not heard" rather than guess, so a line it really couldn't make out is shown as unheard and never counts against you. If clean lines keep being marked wrong, tell me which song and which words — that is exactly the case I most want to fix.
You can, but the microphone hears less of your voice over an instrument. A pass Mneme barely heard doesn't count either way — it can't promote a song or mark one down. For the clearest results, sing unaccompanied, or hold the phone nearer your mouth than the instrument. Speaking the words works best of all.
A song is Ready when you've sung it through from the top, with nothing on screen, cleanly. It's Solid when you can also pick it up cold from any section — which is what saves you when you lose your place on stage.
Three, with every mode, for as long as you like. Mneme Pro is a one-time purchase that lets you add as many as you want. Deleting a song makes room for another.
Open Settings › Mneme Pro › Restore purchases. Your purchase follows your Apple Account, so it works on a new phone or after a reinstall.
Most pedals type keys and need no setup. Pair it in the iPhone's Settings › Bluetooth, open a song's Stage, and press: → ↓, Page Down, Space and Return turn forward, or start the scroll; ← ↑ and Page Up turn back.
A MIDI pedal (an M-VAVE Chocolate in its MIDI mode, for one) sends messages instead. In Mneme's Settings › Page-turner pedal, connect it, then tap Forward and press the button you want for it, and the same for Back. Program changes, control changes and notes all work. Set the pedal's buttons to momentary, not toggle, or every other press is lost.
Yes — a poem, a monologue, a speech, scripture or a prayer. Add the words as a song and speak them instead of singing; spoken words are what the recognizer hears best.
